Okay, we are fit again and the evening is still early \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir sind zur\u00fcck in die Stadt, aber ganz profan mit der U-Bahn …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We went back into the city, but simply with the subway \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

W\u00e4hrend des St\u00fcckes durfte man nat\u00fcrlich nicht fotografieren. Aber hier k\u00f6nnt Ihr das B\u00fchnenbild sehen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the play of course you were not allowed to take photos, but here you can see the stage design:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir haben Tr\u00e4nen gelacht und nach Luft gejappst! Es war absolut herrlich!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We laughed tears and were gasping for air! It was just wonderful!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und danach war der Abend ja noch vorbei, also gings ab zu Covent Garden. Hatten wir einen Spa\u00df \u2013 eine gute halbe Stunde haben wir mitgesungen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And after that the evening was long from over, so we went to Covent Garden. Did we ever have fun \u2013 for a good half hour we sang along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aber irgendwann war es auch damit vorbei …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But eventually that was also over \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026 also sind wir zum Trafalgar Square gelaufen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

… so we walked to Trafalgar Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hier gibt es Londons kleinste Polizeistation. Gebaut in den 1920ern und heutzutage leider nicht mehr in Benutzung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And here you find London\u2019s smallest police station. Built in the 1920s and these days unfortunately not in use anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klar, \u00fcber all dem steht Admiral Nelson, aber hinter seinem R\u00fccken …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sure, above it all stands Admiral Nelson, but behind his back \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026 sind auf einem Sockel wechselnde Kunstwerke zu sehen. Aktuell \u201eAntelope\u201c von Samson Kambalu, welches John Chilembwe zeigt, einen antikolonialistischen Pastor, der 1915 eine Revolte gegen die britische Herrschaft im heutigen Malawi anf\u00fchrte,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

… on a plinth you see changing artwork. At the moment on display is \u201cAntelope\u201d by Samson Kambalu, which shows John Chilembwe, an anticolonial pastor, who 1915 lead a revolt against the British authorities in what is today Malawi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was wir auch gefunden haben: traditionelle britische Ma\u00dfe. Seit 1876 sind die hier zu sehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What we also found: Imperial British measurements. Since 1876 they can be seen here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, und jetzt geht es zur\u00fcck in die Unterkunft. In den U-Bahn-Stationen von London findet man solche \u201eLabyrinthe\u201c. Die wurden 2013 von dem K\u00fcnstler Mark Wallinger erstellt, um an das 150j\u00e4hrige Bestehen der Londoner \u201eTube\u201c zu erinnern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okay, and now we will go back to our lodging. In the subway stations of London you find such \u201clabyrinths\u201d. Those had been set up 2013 by the artist Mark Wallinger to commemorate that the London \u201ctube\u201d has existed for 150 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
