Am Sonntag sind wir ins Gr\u00fcne. Zuerst in einen ganz kleinen Park – der lag auf dem Weg: Parc de les Aig\u00fces 1978. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday we stayed outside. First we went to a tiny little park – we were walking that direction anyhow: Parc de les Aig\u00fces 1978<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Da haben wir bei wundersch\u00f6nem Wetter wieder eine ganze Weile den M\u00f6nchssittichen zugesehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There, in the beautiful weather, we once again watched monk parakeets for a while. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auf der anderen Seite des Parks sahen wir ein spannendes Haus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the other end of the park we saw an interesting house. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wovon wir \u00fcbrigens sehr viele gesehen haben: Bemalte Garagentore oder Jalousien vor Gesch\u00e4ften … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of which we saw quite a few by the way: Painted garage doors or blinds in front of shops … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

… oder auch Apotheken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

… or also pharmacies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und dann haben wir unser eigentliches erstes Ziel erreicht: Den Park G\u00fcell, den Eusebi G\u00fcell von dem ber\u00fchmten Architekten Antoni Gaudi hat planen lassen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then we reached our first real destination today: The park G\u00fcell, which Eusebi G\u00fcell got the famous architect Antoni Gaudi to plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir sind in einem Bogen den \u00e4u\u00dferen Teil des Parks entlanggelaufen, den zentralen Teil haben wir uns nicht angesehen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We walked along the outer parts of the park, we did not look at the central area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Nicht, weil wir es nicht vorgehabt h\u00e4tten … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not that we had not originally planned to … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

… uns war einfach zuviel Trubel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

… there was simply too much hustle and bustle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Schon von weitem hat man h\u00f6ren k\u00f6nnen, wieviele Leute da bei einer Menge L\u00e4rm unterwegs waren. Und schon von weitem hat uns das totaaaal gestresst: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From far away already you could hear what a crowd was assembled there, with the noise to go with it. And from far away already, that reeeeally stressed us: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir haben ein paar sch\u00f6ne Blicke \u00fcber die Stadt genossen …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We enjoyed a few nice views across the city … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

… haben im Vorbeigehen nette Geb\u00e4ude entdeckt …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

… discovered nice buildings along the way … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

… und nicht nur nette Geb\u00e4ude sondern auch nette Tierchen!!! Gro\u00dfe schwarze Bienen mit dunkelblauen Fl\u00fcgeln … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

… and not just nice buildings but also nice animals!!! Big black bees with dark blue wings … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

… wundersch\u00f6ne Segelfalter …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

… gorgeous swallowtail … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

… oh! Und was mag das f\u00fcr ein Tierchen sein?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

… oh! And what animal might that be?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bevor wir vor all den Leuten und dem Trubel fl\u00fcchten (Musikanten, Brillenverk\u00e4ufer … Ihr kennt das sicher), schauen wir uns noch den H\u00fcgel mit den drei Kreuzen an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before we run away from all the people and the ado (musicians, sunglasses vendors … I am sure you know that), we will take a look at the hill with the three crosses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In den \u00e4ltesten Pl\u00e4nen f\u00fcr den Park war f\u00fcr diesen Ort wohl auch eine kleine Kapelle geplant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the oldest plans for the park, it seems a small chapel was also planned for this location. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noch ein letzter Blick \u00fcber die Stadt, direkt auf die ber\u00fchmte Sagrada Familia (noch ein Werk von Gaudi) … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One last look across the city, directly towards the famous Sagrada Familia (another oeuvre by Gaudi) … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

… und dann sind wir den H\u00fcgel runter, zwischen den H\u00e4usern, auf Rolltreppen!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

… and then we went down the hill, between the houses, on escalators!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auf zur Plaza de Espa\u00f1a, da gibt es eine ganze Menge zu sehen … Als erste die Las Arenas, eine fr\u00fchere Stierkampfarena:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On to the Plaza de Espa\u00f1a, there you find a whole lot to see … First of all the Las Arenas, a former bullfighting arena: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innen drin ist jetzt eine Shopping Mall mit allem drum und dran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside there is now a shopping mall with all the trimmings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eine spannende Kombination!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fascinating combination!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aber das beste ist: Ganz oben gibt es eine Reihe Restaurants und um die herum eine breite Dachterrasse. Rundum tolle Blicke auf die Stadt, und vor allem nat\u00fcrlich auf den tollen Platz und die dortigen Bauten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the best thing is: Right at the top there are a number of restaurants, and around those, a wide roof-top terrace. All around great views across the city, and especially down to the great square and the buildings there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hab ich die Restaurants erw\u00e4hnt? Hunger!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did I mention the restaurants? We’re hungry!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hier das Monument Espa\u00f1a Ofrecida a Dios, \u00fcbersetzt so in etwa: Spanien, Gott geweiht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here the monument Espa\u00f1a Ofrecida a Dios, translated something like: Spain, offered to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F\u00fcr die Weltausstellung 1929 wurden all diese Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten gebaut, wie auch das MNAC, das Museu Nacional d\u00b4Art de Catalunya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the world exhibition 1929 all these landmarks had been erected, among them also the MNAC, the Museu Nacional d\u00b4Art de Catalunya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auf dem Weg wieder aus der Arena haben wir bei der Kinderecke Stop gemacht … da durfte man abwechselnd auf Bl\u00e4tter, Herzen oder Wolken treten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On our way back out of the arena, we stopped at the children’s area … there in turn you were allowed to step on leaves, hearts or clouds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unten am Platz waren wir genau zum richtigen Zeitpunkt da: Eine Demonstration, der 8. M\u00e4rz war ja internationaler Frauentag. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Down at the square we were at the exact right point in time: A demonstration, March 8 was International Women’s Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das war f\u00fcr uns vor allem sch\u00f6n, weil auf diese Weise der ganze Verkehr eine Weile gestoppt wurde, da hatte man Zeit, sich den Brunnen genauer anzusehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For us that was especially nice, because that way all traffic was stopped for a while, and thus we had time to really enjoy looking at the fountain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und jetzt sehen wir uns – immerhin von au\u00dfen – das MNAC noch ein bisschen an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And now we will take a bit of a look at the MNAC – at least from the outside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Davor mal wieder die geschw\u00e4tzigen M\u00f6nchssittiche. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the way once again the talkative monk parakeets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der hier hat sich beobachtet gef\u00fchlt, mich dann einmal ganz schief angesehen … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This one here obviously noticed I was watching, he gave me the hairy eyeball … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

… und dann Akrobatik vorgef\u00fchrt. \u00dcbrigens: das ist die einzige Papageienart, die wirkliche Nester aus Zweigen baut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

… and then performed some acrobatics. By the way: that is the only parrot species that really builds nests out of twigs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir haben uns losgerissen und sind weitergelaufen: Ein sehr sch\u00f6ner Bau, und die Treppen und so weiter drum herum, alles sehr h\u00fcbsch!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We finally tore ourselves away and walked on: A very pretty construction, and then the stairs and everything else surrounding it, gorgeous!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hier mal der Blick in die andere Richtung, zur\u00fcck zur Arena, mit den gro\u00dfen venetianischen T\u00fcrmen kurz davor. Sie sind \u00fcbrigens 47 Meter hoch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here for once a look in the other direction, back to the arena, with the large venetian towers right in front. By the way, they are 47 meters high. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, wir gehen jetzt mal wieder zur\u00fcck zum Hotel, und schon wieder \u00fcber Freiland-Rolltreppen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okay, we will now once again go back to the hotel, and once again via outdoor escalators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
