In den Nachrichten kommt das Wetter zum Schluss, bei uns gleich am Anfang: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the news the weather reports comes last, but we today start of with it: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir hatten bisher nur tolles Wetter – und wie man sieht, werden wir auch weiterhin das beste Wetter in Deutschland haben. Also: auf zum Wandern!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far we only had great weather – and as you can see, we will keep having the very best weather in all of Germany. So: off to a hike!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Wir sind in die N\u00e4he des kleinen Ortes Serrahn gefahren. Diese Gegend ist Teil des M\u00fcritz-Nationalparks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We drove to an area close to the little village Serrahn. That region is part of the M\u00fcritz National Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Hier gibt es einen Walderlebnispfad, vor allem, weil hier alte Buchenbest\u00e4nde schon seit 150 Jahren in Ruhe gelassen werden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here they have a forest info path, especially because here old beech populations have been left in peace for 150 years already.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Es ist sehr spannend, durch die unterschiedlichen Baumbest\u00e4nde zu gehen. Manchmal ist der Boden nur mit altem Laub bedeckt, manchmal ist der ganze Waldboden dicht hellgr\u00fcn bewachsen … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is quite interesting, to walk through the different parts of the forest. Sometimes the ground is only covered with old leaves, sometimes the whole forest floor is grown over in light green …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Ja, und jetzt denkt Ihr Euch: es reicht, nicht noch ein Foto mit lauter B\u00e4umen drauf! Aber seht genau hin!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, and now you think: it is enough already, not another photo with nothing but trees! But take a closer look!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir wandern unbedarft durch den Wald, da ert\u00f6nt ein unglaublich lauter Krach … und schr\u00e4g \u00fcber uns brach ein dicker Ast ein. Gruselig! Torben war nur ungef\u00e4hr 5m von dem Baum entfernt … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are hiking through the woods without a care, when suddenly an incredibly loud crash sounds … and above us a thick branch broke. Scary! Torben was only about 5m away from that tree … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Beruhigend, dass hier der Weg breit ist und keine \u00c4ste \u00fcberh\u00e4ngen … daf\u00fcr hat es hier total nach Honig geduftet!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank goodness that here the path is wide and no branches hang over it … but instead here it smelled like honey everywhere!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir kamen an eine kleine Lichtung, da waren eine Menge V\u00f6gel unterwegs. Nat\u00fcrlich hatten die keine Ahnung, wie man ordentlich f\u00fcr Fotos posiert – immer waren sie im Laub, im Schatten, zu weit weg … Hier eine Haubenmeise: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We came to a small clearing, and there a lot of birds were about. Of course they had just no idea of how to pose correctly for a good photo – they were always among the leaves, in the shadow, too far off … Here a crested tit: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Gr\u00fcnspecht kam leider nicht n\u00e4her … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The green woodpecker would not come any closer …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Und was die Kohlmeise uns da zuruft, haben wir auch nicht verstanden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And what the great tit calls out to us there, we did not understand either. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Also weiter durch den Wald … auf schmaleren Wegen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, further through the woods … on more narrow tracks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Unterwegs haben wir viel gelernt. \u00dcber die verschiedenen Eichen zum Beispiel, und dass die Roteiche urspr\u00fcnglich aus Nordamerika kommt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the way we learned a lot. About the different kinds of oak for example, and that the red oak originally comes from North America. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Und eine Infotafel hat uns ihn hier gezeigt: Der Eichelh\u00e4her pflanzt ganz viele Eichen. Naja, eigentlich legt er Vorr\u00e4te an … aber viele Eicheln findet er sp\u00e4ter nicht wieder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And one info board showed us this guy: The jay plants large numbers of oakds. Well, he really hides them as provisions … but many acorns he cannot find anymore later on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Wenn wir gerade von Vorr\u00e4ten reden, wir haben da auch was mitgebracht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of provisions, we also brought some along<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Er hatte vielleicht auch Hunger?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe he was hungry as well?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Wir sind wieder weitergegangen, an dieser Spinne vorbei …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We walked on once again, past this spider … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Und da kommt doch schon wieder eine Ecke zum Ausruhen! Sehr bequem!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there is another spot already for taking a rest! Very comfy!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Gedacht sind die H\u00e4ngematten daf\u00fcr, dass man mal in die Baumwipfel schaut und die Unterschiede sieht, links wird es dichter … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those hammocks are thought for people to take a look at the tree tops, and to see the differences, on the left it gets much denser …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dann hab ich diesen Baumstamm fotografieren wollen, gehe also ein paar Schritte vom Weg ab … da schl\u00e4ngelt sich knapp vor mir etwas in Sicherheit … das war wohl eine Blindschleiche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I wanted to take a photo of this tree trunk, so I step off the path for a bit … and then something moves away from me into safety … that must have been a slow-worm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Unterwegs habe ich auch einen „treehugger“ gesehen … der war nicht so scheu wie die V\u00f6gel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the way I also spotted a treehugger … he was not as shy as all the birds were.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Hier kommen wir wieder zu einem neuen Abschnitt: Hier war fr\u00fcher ein See, der ist ausgetrocknet, und dann wachsen als erstes die Birken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here we come to a new section again: There used to be a lake here, which dried out, and then the birches grow first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Wir haben auch Wollgras entdeckt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also spooted cotton grass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Und eine wundersch\u00f6ne blaue Federlibelle – ist sie nicht sch\u00f6n?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And a beautiful blue featherleg – is it not gorgeous?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

So, und voraus kommt jetzt mooriges Gebiet und ein See, da gibt es diesen Aussichtspunkt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okay, and further on there is marshy land and a lake, for that there exists this outlook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Hier gibt es zur richtigen Jahreszeit Kraniche zu sehen, und … Fischadler! Hinter dem See, links, da k\u00f6nnt Ihr einen schr\u00e4g gefallenen Baum erkennen, und da ganz oben, da ist der Horst!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here at the right time of year you can see cranes, and … ospreys! Behind the lake, on the left, you can see a tree fallen halfway, and there right at the top, there is the aerie!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Wir haben ihn auch nur gefunden, weil ich durch das Fernglas den Adler habe fliegen und dann da landen sehen. Hier etwas n\u00e4her … Der Adler sitzt im Nest, aber besser ist das auf die Entfernung mit meiner Ausr\u00fcstung nicht zu fotografieren … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We only spotted that because I happened to see the eagle flying and then landing just there. Here a look a bit closer … The eagle is in the aerie, but this is the best I could do with my camera equipment … too far off … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also gehen wir weiter und sehen einen Buntspecht, ist der nicht toll?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we walk on a gain, and see a spotted woodpecker, isn’t that great?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, und jede Menge M\u00e4use … klein und rundlich. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, and lots and lots of mice … small and round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mit ganz kurzen Schw\u00e4nzen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With very short tails. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Hier riesige Sch\u00e4mme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here you see huge fungi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

1939 hat hier ein Forscher Reste eines alten Dorfes entdeckt. Wir haben aber nur diesen Stein gesehen …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1939 an explorer discovered the remains of an old village here. But we only saw this rock … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Wir haben auch viele K\u00e4fer gesehen. Hier ein Waldmistk\u00e4fer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also saw many beetles. Here you have a forest dung beetle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Und damit sind wir fast am Ende der Wanderung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And with that we have almost reached the end of the hike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Was noch bleibt: ein Holzweg durch ein St\u00fcck Moor. Hier seht Ihr eine Calla. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last bit: a wooden track through a bit of marsh. Here you see a calla. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und bunte K\u00e4fer … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And colourful beetles … <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Auf dem R\u00fcckweg haben wir nochmal nach dem Horst geschaut – aber der Adler wollte nicht fliegen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the way back we took another look at the aerie – but the eagle refused to fly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das wars! Ein wirklich sch\u00f6ner Tag, ganz ruhig, wenig andere Leute, wir sind totaaaal entspannt!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That was it! A really nice day, very quiet, very few other people, we are tooootally relaxed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
