So, heute ist Reste-Tag. Und wer sagt es denn, wir schaffen es auch noch, mit einer alten Stra\u00dfenbahn zu fahren!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okay, today is leftover day. And would you know it, we even manage to finally ride on one of the old trams!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bahn 1803, das hei\u00dft, das ist eine der Serie Ventotto (1501 \u2013 2002 sind die Nummern). Die wurden hergestellt zwischen 1927 und 1930. Das hei\u00dft, dass sie alle von Anfang an rechts fahren durften, die Umstellung vom Linksverkehr fand 1926 statt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tram 1803, that means it is one of the Ventotto series (the numbers are 1501 \u2013 2002). Those were produced between 1927 and 1930. That means that they all got to run on the right side from the start, the change from left hand traffic was done in 1926.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die H\u00f6chstgeschwindigkeit dieses Modells ist \u00fcbrigens 42 km\/h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und wo sind wir hin? Mal wieder zum Hauptbahnhof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And where did we go? Once again to the main station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aber dieses Mal raus zu den Gleisen, \u00fcberspannt von diesen sch\u00f6nen B\u00f6gen. Der mittlere, h\u00f6chste Teil mit dem gr\u00fcnen Glas bei den \u201eoffenen Fenstern\u201c, dann jeweils rechts und links mit gelbem Glas etwas niedrigere B\u00f6gen, dann ganz au\u00dfen jeweils noch niedrigere. Das Ganze \u00fcberspannt eine Breite von 200 m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But this time out to the tracks, spanned by these beautiful arches. The middle one, which is the highest, with the green glass around the \u201copen windows\u201d, then to the left and right with yellow glass arches that are a bit lower, and then on the outer edges even lower arches. \u00dcbrigens war es gar nicht so einfach, bei den Gleisen herumzulaufen. Erst wollte ich zwischen 17 und 18 hoch, wurde aber erst von einem Bahnmitarbeiter angehalten und informiert, dass ich da nicht hind\u00fcrfte … Und wie ich dann so lange mit ihm diskutiert hatte, dass er aufgab und theatralisch die Augen veschloss … Wurde ich beim zweiten Versuch gleich von der n\u00e4chsten Truppe zur\u00fcckgepfiffen. Meine G\u00fcte!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the way, it was not all that easy to run around near the tracks. First I wanted to walk up between 17 and 18, but was first stopped by a station employee and informed that I was not allowed to walk here \u2026 And once I had disputed this with him long enough, so that he gave up and theatrically closed his eyes \u2026 I was loudly called back by the next group when I tried it a second time. My oh my!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also haben wir uns in die Tiefen der U-Bahn begeben. Bei der Linie 5 kann man sch\u00f6n auf die Gleise schauen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we betook ourselves to the depths of the subway. On line 5 you can nicely look at the tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir sind dabei ganz entspannt geblieben … das geht auch ohne Zigarette 😊<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We stayed totally relaxed on the ride \u2026 and that also works without a cigarette 😊<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das w\u00fcnschen wir auch der Person, der dieses Auto geh\u00f6rt. Das war wohl auch der Sturm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wish the same for the person who owns this car. I guess that was also the storm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir sind hier, um von au\u00dfen einen Blick auf eines der Iglu-H\u00e4user werfen. 12 davon wurden 1946 von Ingenieur Mario Cavalle gebaut, heute stehen noch acht. Auf zwei Stockwerken hat man 50 m\u00b2 Wohnfl\u00e4che …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are here to catch a glance at the outside of one of the igloo houses. 12 of those were built by engineer Mario Cavalle in 1946, today eight of them are still standing. On two floors you have 50 m\u00b2 living space \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir haben auch andere spannende Geb\u00e4ude gesehen: Das ist ein Kongresszentrum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das Castello Pozzi, gebaut 1929, ist f\u00fcr sich genommen schon ganz nett …<\/p>\n\n\n\n

… aber auf der anderen Seite steht doch glatt ein Kartenhaus! Eine Kunstinstallation, die wohl schon eine Weile steht, die Farben auf den Karten sind recht verblichen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

… but on the other side there is an actual house of cards! An art installation that must have been standing here for a while already, the colours on the cards have faded quite a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir sind dann noch an einem sch\u00f6nen Brunnen vorbeigekommen: Dieser gr\u00f6\u00dfte Brunnen der Stadt \u201eFontana delle Quattro Stagioni\u201c wurde 1927 fertiggestellt, doch 1943 wurden die vier Figuren, die die Jahreszeiten darstellen, von Bomben zerst\u00f6rt. 1953 wurden neue aufgestellt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We then happened to come by a pretty fountain: This largest fountain of the city \u201cFontana delle Quattro Stagioni\u201d was finished in 1927, but 1943 the four sculptures that represent the seasons, were destroyed by bombs. 1953 new ones were set up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ja, und das wars dann so ziemlich … Morgen gehts heim, also haben wir heute nochmal nett gegessen. Da hat auch jemand Hunger, so wie es aussieht!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
