Hello again! You are probably already wondering what we might have done yesterday? Hm. One thing is for sure, along the way we discovered the next kind of spider 😉
Aber der wirkliche Grund des gestrigen Ausflugs: Wir haben den weltgrößten Banyanbaum gesehen!
But the real reason for yesterday’s trip: We saw the world’s biggest banyan tree!

Unten könnt Ihr Dom, den Guide, und Torben entdecken. Der Baum ist 300 Jahre alt, 80m hoch und an der weitesten Stelle 100m breit! Hier ein paar Eindrücke:
At the bottom you can spot Dom, our guide, and Torben. The tree is 300 years old, 80m high and at its widest spot it is 100m wide! Here a few impressions:

Da waren auch seltsame Gestalten unterwegs … Tarzan? Indiana Jones?

Ein tolles Erlebnis, und ein Baum, der einfach nicht in ein Foto passt …
A great experience, and a tree that just won’t fit into one photograph …
Auf der Rückfahrt haben wir am Markt gehalten, der ist dreimal die Woche.
On the way back we stopped at the market, which is held three times a week.

Und: Gestern im Kannibalendorf haben wir gelernt, warum Kokosnüsse zwei Augen haben: Die passen auf, dass niemand unter ihnen steht, bevor sie sich fallen lassen. Hier sieht man den Blick genau:
And: Yesterday at the cannibal village we learned why coconuts have two eyes: They take care that nobody is standing below before the drop down. Here you can see the look very clearly:
Dann war es Zeit zum Mittagessen, es gab ein Picknick am nächsten Strand. Nach dem Schwimmen, natürlich …
Then it was time for lunch, we had a picnic at the next beach. After a swim, of course …
