Dies wird ein kurzer Eintrag … wir haben zwar nicht so viel gemacht, aber es war aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanstrengend, wir sind müde! Nach einem frühen Frühstück sind wir mit ein paar Zwischenstationen nach Rubyvale. Hier gibt es Saphire zu finden! Zuerst haben wir eine Führung durch eine Mine mitgemacht, danach haben wir einen Eimer voll Sand und Steinen selber nach Saphiren durchsucht. Da die Steinchen (zum Teil winzig) im hellen Sonnenlicht am besten zu erkennen sind, standen wir draußen in der Hitze an einem Tisch und haben uns durch Steinhäufchen gewühlt. Heiß, heiß, heiß!
This will be a short entry … we have not done all that much today, but it was exhaaaaaaaaaaaausting, we are tired! After an early breakfast, with a few stops on the way, we went to Rubyvale. There sapphires can be found! First we did a tour through a mine, then we fossicked for sapphires ourselves, through a bucket full of sand and rocks. Since the stones (mostly tiniest) can be best discovered in the bright sunlight, we stood at a table outside in the heat of the day, and worked our way through little heaps of stones. Hot, hot, hot!
Und wir haben ein paar Saphire, Zirkone und Serpentingestein gefunden. Nur kleine Steinchen, aber die Suche war aufregend!
And we found a few sapphires, zircons and serpentines. Only little pebbles, but the search was exciting!

Und jetzt: Gute Nacht! Falls das Wetter hält, wollen wir morgen einen weiteren Nationalpark erkunden, mit tiefen Schluchten. Da sollte man laut Reiseführer 6 Stunden einplanen, und die Fahrt wird nochmal 2 Stunden dauern … Aber erst mal müssen wir hoffen, dass es trocken bleibt, bei Regen laufen die Schluchten voll …
And now: Good night! If the weather holds, we want to explore another national park tomorrow, with deep gorges. According to the travel guide you should plan 6 hours for that, and the drive there will already take another 2 hours … But first we have to hope that it will stay dry, when it rains, the gorge fills with water …
