Okay: Der Eintrag zu gestern, da sind wir bis zur Fahrt Richtung Taupo gekommen. Erst haben wir den See erreicht, da haben wir schöne Schwäne gesehen:
Okay: The entry for yesterday, with that we got to the drive towards Taupo. First we reached the lake where we saw beautiful swans:
In der Gegend um Taupo gab es dann die nächsten zwei Sehenswürdigkeiten. Zunächst die Huka Falls. Beeindruckend. Man muss es live sehen, die Fotos geben es nicht wirklich wieder.
In the area around Taupo there were then the next two sights to be seen. First the Huka Falls. Impressive. You really have to see it live, the photos don’t do it justice.
Wir haben sehr lange staunend zugesehen … die Kraft des Wassers war hypnotisierend.
We watched for quite some time … the force of the water was mesmerizing.
Und danach sind wir zu den „Craters of the Moon“, ein Gebiet, in dem die Erde überall Dampf ablässt.
And then we went to the „Crates of the Moon“, an area where our planet lets off steam all over the place.
Da haben sich auch jede Menge Vögel getummelt, mit sehr interessanter Aufmachung:

Und danach ging es in das nächste Hotel: Wir sind jetzt in Rotorua, im Wai Ora Lakeside Spa Resort.
