Und die alte Stadtmauer kommt ganz zum Schluss …

Bei einem Zwischenstopp haben wir diesen schönen Schmetterling entdeckt.
At one stop we spotted this beautiful butterfly.
Und der nächste Halt hat uns einen sehr interessanten alten Brunnen gezeigt: (mit altem Tempel im Hintergrund, der kommt danach)
And the next stop showed us a very interesting old well: (with an old temple in the background, we will get to that afterwards)
Ein Stufenbrunnen … man geht einfach so viele Treppen, bis man am Wasser ist.
A step well … you just take as many stairs as needed to get to the water.
Ja, und beim Tempel waren wir dann erst mal abgelenkt. Da hat etwas gefiept …
Well, and at the temple, we were first distracted. Something was cheeping …
Dann haben wir uns zum Tempel umgedreht.
Then we turned around to the temple.
Da gab es noch mehr Ablenkung …
There we had more distractions ..,
Der Tempel war zu, aber auch von außen interessant.
The temple was locked, but interesting also from the outside.
Nein, wir waren nicht gelangweilt … wir mussten weiter!
No, we were not bored … we had to move on!
Da hält uns auch eine Mutter mit Kind nicht auf!
Not even a mother with child will keep us back!
Mögen andere Leute sich ausruhen. Wir müssen jetzt da hoch!

Also auf zum Fort Amber. Die Anlage ist riesig und man kann sich verlaufen, dauernd sich verzweigende Treppen …
So on to the Fort Amber. The complex is huge and you can really get lost, with all those constantly branching stairs …

And just as we thought we had seen it all, we discovered this elaborate ceiling, which glittered and sparkled.
Genug, Arjun denkt bestimmt, wir kommen gar nicht mehr wieder.
Enough, Arjun probably thinks we will never come back.
Über zwei Stunden waren wir hier …
We spent more than two hours here …
Jetzt gehen wir, ohne Ärger zu machen.

Ich durfte auch zusehen, wie sie das Brot machen.
I was also allowed to go and watch them make the bread.
