Well, Torben is still a bit under the weather, my cold is thankfully getting a bit better, so for today we have nothing planned but: (we booked that from India already, and they won’t let us reschedule)
Um diese Brücke geht es, die „Story Bridge“ (benannt nach einem einflussreichen Regierungsbeamten).
We are talking about this bridge, the “Story Bridge” (named after an influential government official).
Erst hieß sie Brisbane River Bridge, dann sollte sie King George V Silver Jubilee Bridge, kurz Jubilee Bridge, heißen, für König George V. – als dieser starb dann King George V Memorial Bridge … doch schließlich entschied man sich für John Douglas Story.
First it was called Brisbane River Bridge, then the name was supposed to be King George V Silver Jubilee Bridge, short Jubilee Bridge, for King George V – when he died then King George V Memorial Bridge … but eventually they settled on John Douglas Story.

… und laufen dann hier die Wendeltreppe hoch.
… and then walk up this spiral stair.
Dann geht es waagerecht unter der Brücke weiter.
Then we walk on horizontally beneath the bridge.
Danach: Rechts hoch bis zur Spitze, auf der anderen Seite hinunter und dann auf halber Strecke zwischen den beiden höchsten Punkten haben wir über den Autos die Straße überquert und sind dann links wieder über die Spitze zurückgekommen.
Afterwards: On the right side up to the peak, then down on the other side, and afterwards halfway between the two highest points, we crossed the road above the cars and then came back on the left side once again by climbing the peak.
Man darf nichts mitnehmen, natürlich auch keine Kamera. Aber unser Guide Isabell hat ein paar Fotos gemacht.

Davor mussten wir einen Atemtest machen und in einen Apparat pusten, außerdem wurde mit einem Metalldetektor geprüft, dass wir wirklich nichts mit-schmuggeln. (Übrigens, die Brücke hinter mir sehen wir uns morgen an.)
Before the climb, we had to do a breathalyzer test and blow into some contraption, they also checked us with a metal detector, to make sure that we really do not smuggle anything in. (By the way, the bridge behind me we will look at tomorrow.)
Es hat nüchtern und ohne Kamera auf jeden Fall trotzdem Spaß gemacht 😊
But it was for sure great fun, also sober and without camera 😊
