Heute morgen war unser erstes Ziel: Der Esperance Flughafen.
This morning our first destination was: The Esperance airport.
Gleich gehts los!

Wir sind soweit!
Ready to go!
Wir haben schnell an Höhe gewonnen.
We quickly gained height.
Und dann sind wir über all diese kleinen Seen geflogen.
And then we flew across all those little lakes.
In den verschiedensten Farben.
In all different colours.
Wahnsinn!
Incredible!
Dann ging es runter zur Küste.
Then we flew down to the coast.
An jeder Menge Inseln vorbei.
We passed a big number of islands.
Bei Lucky Bay sind wir dann umgekehrt – der Strand wurde 2023 zum weltweit schönsten gekürt.
At Lucky Bay we then turned around – this beach was voted to be the best in the world in 2023.
Und dann gings auch schon zurück zum Flugplatz.
And then we were already on our way back to the airfield.
Noch einmal bunte Seen …
Once again colourful lakes …
… und dann waren wir wieder am Boden.
… and then we were back on the ground.
Ab auf die Straße, wir haben heute einen langen Weg vor uns.
Onto the road, we have a long way to go today.
Zwischendrin mussten wir immer mal an Baustellen halten, aber es wird ja nie langweilig.
In between we had to stop for roadwork here and there, but then, it never does get boring.
Wir haben einen Abstecher gemacht …
We took a small detour …
Die Straße führt duch einen ausgetrockneten See, Lake King.
The road leads through a dried up lake, Lake King.
Nur da hinten ist ein klein bisschen Wasser.
Only back there you find a little bit of water.
Dann sind wir an einem kleinen Traktor-Museum vorbeigekommen:

Nicht weit davon waren jede Menge hiervon zu sehen – und zu hören!
Not far from that, there were lots and lots of these to be seen – and to be heard!
Dabei haben wir in Varley ja wegen der Hasen angehalten.
When really, we stopped in Varley because of the rabbits.
Ja, das ist ein Friedhof, für die Hasen, die im Stacheldraht gestorben sind (wer mehr wissen will: Rabbit Proof Fence ist das Stichwort).
Yes, that is a cemetery for all the rabbits that died in the barbed wire (for those who want to know more: rabbit proof fence is the keyword).
Aber wir müssen weiterziehen.
But we have to travel on.
Wir mussten ja noch zur Welle …
We still had to get to the Wave …
Ein toller Felsen!
A great rock!
Das hat sich gelohnt!
That was well worth it!
Und nicht weit davon:

Ein gähnendes Nilpferd! Kein Wunder … es ist schon spät.
A yawning hippo! No wonder … it is getting late.
Dann waren wir auch schon in Corrigin, wo wir bei Carly und Warren übernachten, zwei wunderbare Menschen!
Then we were in Corrigin already, where we stay with Carly and Warren, two wonderful people!
Doch mehr davon morgen, jetzt gehen wir noch schnell etwas essen!
But more of that tomorrow, now we will quickly go and grab a bite!
Und dann haben wir Sterne geguckt!
And then it was time for some star gazing!
