Mit dem Sonnenuntergang sind wir nach Fidji geflogen, auf Viti Levu in Nadi gelandet. Ziemlich k.o., nach einem Tag mit frühem Flug von Tanna nach Port Vila, dann viel Warten am Flughafen, denn der Flug nach Fidji war erst um fünf … Und dann die Fahrt zum Hotel, über total dunkle Straßen, ANSTRENGEND! Um 1:20 Uhr waren wir endlich hier!
With the sunset we flew to Fiji, landed on Viti Levu, in Nadi. Quite groggy, after a day with an early flight from Tanna to Port Vila, then a lot of waiting at the airport, because the flight to Fiji was not until five in the afternoon … And then the drive to the hotel, via totally dark streets, EXHAUSTING! Finally we got here, at 1:20 a.m.!

Wir haben heute wieder mal Dinge erledigt … Wäsche gewaschen zum Beispiel, war höchste Zeit! Der Autovermietung ein böses Mail geschrieben, haben die uns eine Schrottkarre angedreht! Außerdem war heute das Wetter genau passend für solche Aktivitäten. Ihr habt es vielleicht in den Nachrichten mitgekriegt: Wirbelsturm Gita ist unterwegs. Uns wird er wohl nicht erwischen, aber den meisten Tag hat es heute geschüttet, und der Wind ist auch sehr stark. Mal sehen, wie sich das in der Nacht entwickelt …
Today we had once again one of those days when we get things done … we did laundry, for example, it was high time! And we wrote an angry mail to the rental car company, did they ever give us a beat-up car! And then the weather today was just perfect for such activities. You might have caught it on the news: the cyclone Gita is about. Looks like it won’t get us, but today it poured most of the day, and the wind is also quite strong.
