Wie meine Vorschreiberin bereits erwähnt hat, war das Wetter ziemlich sonnig. Das habe ich heute auch schön ausgenutzt. Nachdem wir beim Blackcomb angekommen sind, habe ich erst einmal meine Muskeln etwas gedehnt (Beweisfoto hat ja Kirsche geliefert). Dann ging es los, die schwarzen Pisten zu erkunden. Am Blackcomb Mountain habe ich die Pisten Overbite, Arthur’s Choice und Where’s Joe ausprobiert. Uff, schwierig. Heftige Hügel und eisige Stellen, sehr schwierig zu fahren.
Mittags bin ich zum Whistler Mountain rüber und da waren die Bedingungen besser, nicht so eisig. In der Glacier Bowl gab es noch etwas Tiefschnee auch wenn es sehr ausgefahren war. Eine Herausforderung war die Whistler Bowl, die am Anfang extrem steil war aber insgesamt gut zu fahren, da der Schnee schön weich war. Zum Abschluss bin ich dann noch grob die Ratfink gefahren (grob die Richtung, bin den Spuren durch den Wald gefolgt). Die Abfahrt ins Whistler Village erfolgte dann über die Olympische Piste. As the previous writer has already mentioned, the weather was pretty sunny. I took full advantage of that today. After we arrived at Blackcomb I stretched my muscles a bit (evidence photo has been already provided by Kirsche). Then I was off to explore the black trails. At the Blackcomb Mountain I tried the trails Overbite, Arthur’s Choice and Where’s Joe. Ugh, difficult. Tough knolls and icy spots, very difficult to ski. At lunch time I went to Whistler Mountain and there the conditions were better, not so icy. In the Glacier Bowl was still some powder snow although there were a lot of ruts. Whistler Bowl was a challenge, the bowl was at the beginning extremely steep but overall well to run because the snow was very soft. Finally I kind of took the Ratfink (roughly in the direction, I followed the tracks through the forest). For the run down to Whistler Village I chose the Olympic trail. Great day!

Für alle, die auch mal hier Ski fahren wollen, die Ticketpreise sind recht hoch. Ein Tagespass kostet regulär ohne Steuern 156 CAD (ca. 97 EUR). Wenn man die Karten online bestellt, kann man 12 CAD pro Tag sparen. Ich habe für meinen 2-Tagespass inklusive Steuern 303.40 CAD (ca. 189 EUR) gezahlt. Die Preise für das Ausleihen sind ok, ich habe für meine Ausrüstung plus Versicherung insgesamt 175.48 CAD (ca. 109 EUR) gezahlt.

For all who also want to ski here, the ticket prices are pretty high. A full day ticket costs regularly without taxes 156 CAD (ca. 97 EUR). If you buy the ticket online you can save 12 CAD per day. For my 2-day-ticket including taxes I paid 303.40 CAD (ca. 189 EUR). The prices for ski rentals are ok, I paid for my equipment plus insurance overall 175.48 CAD (ca. 109 EUR).
