Der Samstag war irgendwie mit Dingen gefüllt, bei denen wir – zumindest gefühlt – nach unten geschaut haben. Zuerst sind wir morgens zu Canada Place gelaufen.
The Saturday somehow was filled with things that had us looking down – or at least having the impression of that. First thing in the morning, we walked to Canada Place.

Das ist Kino der anderen Art. Wir haben uns die FlyOver-Filme zu Kanada und den USA beide angesehen. Man sitzt in beweglichen Bänken, man spürt Wind, Feuchtigkeit, und wenn man über die Felder fliegt, riecht man sie auch. Tolle Ausblicke hatten wir da. Das Schlussbild waren die gesamten USA aus dem All bei Nacht, beeindruckend.
That is movies of a different kind. We watched the FlyOver movies about Canada and the USA, both. You sit in moveable benches, you feel wind, moisture, and when you fly across the fields, you also smell them. Great views we had there. The final picture was the whole of the USA by night, as seen from space, impressive.
Danach sind wir dann wirklich hoch oben gewesen: Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. Der Canyon ist die meiste Zeit sehr schmal und das Wasser sehr weit unten.
After that then we really went high up: Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. The canyon is quite narrow most of the time, and the water is far down.
Wir sind da noch ein bisschen herumgewandert. Teils auf Bretter-Wegen und – Treppen, manchmal auch einfach über die Wurzeln.
We did hike around a bit there. Sometimes on planked walks and stairs, sometimes simply across all the roots.
Wir haben uns die alte Pipeline-Brücke angesehen, die man leider nicht betreten darf.
We took a look at the old pipeline bridge, that unfortunately one is not allowed to use.
Und natürlich haben wir einfach die Ausblicke genossen.
And of course we simply enjoyed the views.
Es scheint aber, dass viele andere es nicht mit Schauen belassen … überall waren Warnschilder, weil wohl viele Hochintelligente meinen, hier ins Wasser springen zu müssen!
But it looks as if many others are not satisfied with just the view … there were lots of warning signs, because apparently many highly intelligent people think, they have to jump into the water here!
Wir sind nicht gesprungen, wir hatten besseres vor. Abends haben wir uns nämlich das hier angesehen:

In der Rogers Arena haben wir uns das Spiel Vancouver Canucks – San Jose Sharks angesehen. Die Canucks haben sich gut geschlagen, eine Weile haben wir gehofft, sie gewinnen das Spiel …
In the Rogers Arena we watched the match Vancouver Canucks – San Jose Sharks. The Canucks played a good game, for a while we were hoping they would win …
… aber sie haben 3:5 verloren. Trotzdem: ein tolles Spiel, wir hatten viel Spaß!
… but they lost 3:5. Still: it was a great game, we had lots of fun!
