Tja, wir waren heute ja mal wieder schürfen, diesmal mit gemietetem Gerät ganz auf uns allein gestellt. Doch leider erfolglos. Schön wars trotzdem, am Creek, nur wir zwei und jede Menge Vögel und Insekten (die Fliegen waren auch wieder da!).
Well, today we went fossicking again, this time with leased equipment and on our own. But unfortunately without success. But it was nice all the same, at the creek, just the two of us and loads of birds and insects (the flies were back as well!).

Und auf der Straße haben wir einen Schnabeligel entdeckt, dem konnten wir eine ganze Weile lang zugucken!

Aber noch vor all dem, heute morgen, gab es ein Vorab-Weihnachtsgeschenk. Ich habe ja gesagt, ich verlasse Australien nicht, bevor ich nicht wenigstens EINEN Wombat gesehen habe! …
