So, wir sind mal wieder unterwegs. Um 6:25 ging unser Flieger … fragt nicht, wann wir aufgestanden sind!
Okay, so we are traveling once again. Our flight started at 6:25 am … do not ask when we did get up!
Doch wir waren bei weitem nicht die einzigen, die so früh nach Frankfurt geflogen sind.
But we were far from the only ones flying to Frankfurt so early in the morning.
Nach einem kurzen Aufenthalt ging es auch schon wieder weiter. Und hier landen wir jetzt in Lyon.
After a short stopover we traveled on. And here now we are touching down in Lyon.

Auf der Suche, wo denn der Shuttle zu den Mietwägen fährt, haben wir das schöne Gebäude vom Hauptbahnhof etwas näher gesehen.
On our search for where the shuttle to the rental cars will leave, we got a closer look at the pretty building of the central station.
Als wir dann endlich unseren Wagen hatten, sind wir nach St. Etienne gefahren, haben unsere Unterkunft bezogen (dazu mehr ein andermal) und sind in Richtung Innenstadt auf eine erste Erkundung. Hier seht Ihr am Place Jean-Jaurès die Kathedrale Saint-Charles-Borromée.
When we then finally had our car, we drove to St. Etienne, there moved into the apartment we had booked (more about that some other time) and then went on a first excursion towards downtown. Here you see at the Place Jean-Jaurès the cathedral Saint-Charles-Borromée.
Aber wir haben jetzt erst einmal Hunger! Also gab es lecker Flammkuchen.
But we are hungry now most of all! So we got a yummy flammkuchen.
Später haben wir uns dann die Kathedrale von innen angesehen.
Later then we took a look at the cathedral from the inside.
Der Bau wurde erst 1912 begonnen, und 1923 war er abgeschlossen, also ist diese Kirche noch keine 100 Jahre alt! (hat dafür aber in den Ecken oben um die Fenster herum wohl eine Menge Wasserschäden …).
The construction was not started until 1912, and 1923 it was finished, so this church is not yet 100 years old! (but up in the corners around the windows it already seems to have a lot of water damage …)
Aber wir sind dann wieder gegangen und haben uns auf unserer kleinen Straße, der Rue Marengo, auf den Heimweg gemacht. Es war ein langer Tag und wir sind müde!
But we then left again and started to walk home on our little street, the Rue Marengo. It has been a long day and we are tired!
