Heute sind wir als erstes zur großen Moschee, La Grande Mosquée Mohammed VI, gefahren.
Today we first drove to the great mosque, La Grande Mosquée Mohammed VI.
Wir haben sie zwar nur von außen gesehen, aber das Gebäude hat uns sehr gefallen.
Even if we only saw it from the outside, we thought the building quite gorgeous.
Als nächstes haben wir bei einer Kirche gehalten, die auf dem Weg lag.
Next we stopped at a church that was on the way.
Sainte Barbe heißt die Kirche, die leider geschlossen war. Und sie könnte wohl etwas Zuwendung brauchen …

Tja, wir sind dann zu IKEA. 😊 Nicht, weil wir im Urlaub so gerne einkaufen gehen, sondern, weil in unserer Unterkunft ein paar Sachen nicht vorhanden sind, die wir gerne hätten. Und wir haben auch alles gefunden: eine Teekanne, eine zusätzliche Decke, Geschirrtücher.
Well, we then went to IKEA. 😊 Not because on vacation we so love to go shopping, but rather because in our lodging we miss a few things we would like to have. And we did find it all: a tea pot, an extra blanket, tea towels.
Danach sind wir dann tatsächlich in eine Mall. Die hatten wir bei unserer Ankunft in St. Etienne von der Straße aus gesehen. „Steel“ ( Stahl) ist hier Programm.
Afterwards we then actually went to a mall. That we had seen at our arrival in St. Etienne from the street. “Steel” really says it all here.
Zu dumm, dass es ziemlich geregnet hat …
Too bad that it rained quite heavily …
Hier gab es zum Beispiel ein sehr interessantes Karussell.

Da konnte man auf dieser Ameise reiten.

Wir sind vor dem Regen dann in die Geschäfte geflohen. Da gab es eine Menge Stofftiere …
We then went into the shops to escape the rain. There they had lots of teddy bears …
… oder im Haribo-Laden eine Menge Süßes. Gut, dass die Boxen alle zu groß waren, wir haben nichts gekauft.
… or in the Haribo shop a lot of sweets. Good thing that the bins were all so huge, we did not buy anything.
Mittlerweile wurde es schon dunkel. Bei dieser Figur war das von Vorteil, sonst sieht man das Licht ja gar nicht … Der Name ist übrigens “La Magie de Lucie”.
By now it was starting to get dark. With this sculpture, that is an advantage, otherwise you do not see the lighting at all … The name by the way is “La Magie de Lucie”.
Wir haben jetzt Hunger. Also fahren zurück, und auch zeigt sich etwas in der Dunkelheit in toller Beleuchtung: die Kathedrale.
We are hungry now. So we drive back, and here as well something looks great in the dark, in its special illumination: the cathedral.
Auch das Rathaus zeigt Farbe.
