Heute war mal wieder ein Tag für Erledigungen. Wir haben die nächsten Tage geplant und Unterkünfte gemietet, wir haben Wäsche gewaschen (wir haben eine Waschmaschine in unserem Hotelzimmer!), Mails beantwortet, all die Dinge, für die sonst keine Zeit bleibt. Und einen kleinen Ausflug ins Regierungsviertel haben wir gemacht.
Today was once again a day to get things done. We planned for the next few days and booked accomodations, we did laundry (we actually have a washing machine in our hotel room!), answered mails. All those things for which we normally don’t find the time. And we went on a short trip into the government district.

Aber richtig spannend wurde es erst abends. Wir hatten die 20:30 Führung bei Zealandia gebucht. 12 von uns hat Katie durch das Naturschutzgebiet geführt. Es war sehr dunkel, und wir hatten nur schwache Lampen mit rotem Licht, von daher können wir nicht wirklich Fotos liefern …
But in the evening was when it got really exciting. We had booked the eight thirty tour at Zealandia. 12 of us did Katie lead through the nature sanctuary. It was very dark, and we only had weak torches with red light, so we cannot really deliver great photos …
… aber wir haben so viel gesehen! DREI Kiwis! Der erste ist einen Meter von uns vorbeigelaufen! (und wir haben alle kaum zu atmen gewagt) Und wieder „Glühwürmchen“, wie in der Höhle bei Doubtful Sound.
… but we saw so much! THREE kiwis! The first one walked by, a meter away from us! (and we all barely dared to breathe) And again we saw glowworms, as in the cave at Doubtful Sound.
Und Brückenechsen, eine Art, die bis zu den Dinosauriern zurückreicht!

Es war ganz fantastisch!!! Kirsche durfte sogar den Neuseeland-Aal füttern! Und jetzt sind wir müde … also mal wieder: Gute Nacht!
